Using Site Notes
Updated 1 September 2026
Site Notes provide a shared place for useful information about one website. Notes stay with the selected site workspace and can be read by you and the BugShield team.
Open Site Notes
- Choose the relevant website from the workspace selector.
- Open Vault from the dashboard sidebar.
- Find Site notes beside the list of Vault credentials.
Add a note
- Enter your note in the Site notes box. A note can contain up to 500 characters.
- Select Post note.
Your name and the time are shown with the note, making it clear who added the information.
What to include in a Site Note
- Useful background information about the website.
- Reminders about hosting, plugins or regular site tasks.
- Instructions that may help the BugShield team work on the site.
- Details of a planned website change that the team should know about.
Keep passwords in the Vault
Site Notes are intended for helpful context rather than passwords, secret keys or other login details. Store access information as a Password Vault item so it remains separate from ordinary notes.
Remove a note you added
To remove one of your notes, find it in the Site Notes list and select the bin icon. Notes added by a BugShield developer remain available as part of the shared site information.
