Backups Overview

Cloud backups protect your WordPress files and database so you can recover from mistakes, hacks, or bad updates.
This article explains how backups work in BugShield, including backup frequency by plan and what data is included.
Backup frequency by plan
- Shield Light: weekly backups
- Shield Pro: daily backups
One-off fix customers do not include automated backups. Upgrade to a maintenance plan or arrange a one-off restore request if needed.
What is backed up
Backups include your WordPress files and database. Large media libraries may take longer on first backup. Backups are stored encrypted off-site.
