Why I created BugShield

The same maintenance problems kept getting in the way.

I have worked with WordPress clients for more than 10 years. Over that time, I learned that most website owners do not want to become WordPress developers. They want to know their site is being looked after and that somebody capable is there when it needs attention.

Maintaining sites for more than five years made the gap even clearer. Clicking an update button is the easy part. The real work is preparing safely, checking the result, noticing problems early, keeping a dependable backup and taking responsibility for putting things right.

Yet the information owners need is often split across hosting accounts, monitoring tools, email threads and technical reports. It can be hard to see what changed, what has been checked or who is responsible when something fails.

I created BugShield to bring those moving parts together. The aim was simple from the beginning: make WordPress maintenance easy to understand, easy to manage and easy to get help with.

“WordPress maintenance should be easy.”

What shaped BugShield

Built from real WordPress experience.

  • Experience with site owners

Working with WordPress clients showed which problems cause the most uncertainty and what people need from support.

  • Ongoing responsibility

Maintaining sites showed that real care continues after an update, with checks, backups and recovery when needed.

  • A simpler service

BugShield brings maintenance and developer support together so customers have one clear place to manage their site.

How that idea shaped the service

Clear WordPress care, built around the site owner.

BugShield turns the lessons from years of client work and hands-on maintenance into a service that is easier to follow.

Everything around one site

Monitoring, backups, credentials, fix requests, conversations and completed work stay together in one site workspace.

Clear, direct support

Customers can explain what is wrong, understand what happens next and speak directly with the person handling the work.

Maintenance you can see

Updates and checks create a useful record, so customers can understand the care their WordPress site receives.
