Reading Your Monitoring Dashboard

Updated 1 September 2026

The Monitoring dashboard brings many independent checks into one workspace. Start with the summary for an overview, then select any warning to view more details. Monitoring Overview explains which parts of the site BugShield checks.

Start with health and availability

The top summary shows the current health view, recent availability and response information. A healthy current result does not erase earlier incidents; use the history and trend views to see whether a problem is recurring.

How BugShield handles items needing attention

The items needing attention area shows findings from the latest monitoring checks. The BugShield team receives these findings too. If an item requires action, a developer will review it and work on the issue as part of your maintenance plan. You can open any item to view its details and latest result.

What each monitoring area shows

Each monitoring area covers a different part of your website. BugShield developers use these details when reviewing items that need attention.

  • Performance: loading speed, response trends and Core Web Vitals.
  • Plugins: active and inactive plugins, versions, available updates, known vulnerability signals and support status.
  • Security and environment: SSL, file integrity, WordPress configuration and server information.
  • SEO, DNS and email: technical SEO checks, domain records and email configuration.
  • Cron and debug logs: scheduled WordPress tasks and recorded errors.

Check freshness

Every module should show when it was last checked. If data is old, confirm the plugin connection and wait for the next scheduled run before assuming the old result is current.

Ask about a monitoring finding

BugShield developers review monitoring findings and handle any issues that need action as part of your maintenance plan. If you would like more information about a finding or the work being carried out, contact subscriber support.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I view more information about a monitoring warning?

Yes. Select the warning to view its details and latest result. The BugShield team receives the same finding and will handle any action required as part of your maintenance plan.

What does the last checked time mean?

It shows when BugShield most recently completed that monitoring check, helping you and the BugShield team understand how current the result is.

Why are inactive plugins shown?

Inactive plugins remain installed on your website, so BugShield includes them when checking for available updates, known vulnerabilities and software support.

Can I ask BugShield about a monitoring finding?

Yes. Send the BugShield team a message through Subscriber Support if you would like more information about a finding or any work being carried out.
